With Canada’s recent sex law reshuffle in play, FAB Magazine entertains the idea of Toronto having a Red Light District while Scott Dagostino gets under the sheets to find out what local queers and sex workers think.
And Ryan Russell adds, “Putting every kind of sex worker in one district would be insane,” he laughs. “I’m not going out to some area to hustle. Are you kidding me?” Especially with guys working online now, Russell says, “It’s crazy to imagine boxing all this subversive quality within a structure. It would be like going to La Cage Aux Folles. It’s a drag show, but not a real drag show.”
“Toronto is already a place to come and have sex and a really fun, hot time,” Russell says. “Instead of trying to create a place, we should create an identity. The whole city can be a red-light district.”
With my new site getting ready to launch, I wanted to get some fun shots to you in the meanwhile. We did these for a new show that’s coming up but I wanted to share ‘em with you, ’cause I hope you dig ‘em.
We met late on the Friday afternoon at Mandy Goodhandy’s pied-à-terre, and damn GODDAMN, what a treat it was walking in there. Pierre’s super hot, which I fully knew before getting there, but wasn’t expecting the cinematographer (his boyfriend, Julian!) would be oh so painfully hot, too! Never even mind the photographer. I can honestly say, before that shoot, I’ve never wanted to bang everyone on set (at the same time even).
